The Glen Tay Block Race is a unique small-town race that was first run in 1907! After a few years, the race stopped being contested. It was revived in 1967 as a Centennial project and has been held annually on the last Thursday of August, ever since. The gun goes off at 6 p.m.!
The race course is a 14.7 km loop that starts and ends at the Perth Museum in downtown Perth. This historic race attracts runners from Kingston to Ottawa and everywhere in between. About 125 runners of all abilities and ages toe the line every year. You could be one of them!
Why not spend the day visiting Heritage Perth and cap it off with a classic road race!
